Today, February 21, 2018, Santander’s Internet Banking service is experiencing an interconnectivity issue with several Internet service providers in Brazil.

But what is the cause of the problem?

One of the participants in the PTT/IX.BR São Paulo ATMv4 is advertising the Banco Santander network, causing most Brazilian ISPs to choose this fake route.

And what boundary solution?

Do not accept announcements from ASN 265436, SkyNet Telecom, by rejecting routes that use the extended community 26162:265436, and do not advertise to them using the extended community 65000:265436 either.

For a final resolution, we have to wait for the Participant to take down the ad on PTT SPO.
