Netflow is a resource created by Cisco to collect characteristics and information about IP network traffic. Each Flow corresponds to traffic passing through a Router with the same characteristics as:
Same source and destination IP address;
The same source and destination port;
A single Layer 3 protocol;
The same logical interface.
With these characteristics, the routers create a cache of information in their memory, which can then be exported to the analysis tool for these flows: Made4Flow
