We know that every small ISP starts with Mikrotik equipment and that it has a very intuitive “graphic” interface (via its own application, Winbox). Many ISPs grow with these facilities in hand and end up using them for various operational and often administrative tasks. <\/p>\n\n
There have been instances where I\u2019ve encountered ISPs that based their entire management system on the features offered by \u201cWinbox,\u201d including user authorization. Eventually, these ISPs and service providers grow, and the capacity of Mikrotik equipment no longer meets certain performance and scalability requirements\u2014such as the number of users a single router can support while ensuring quality of service\u2014which ultimately forces them to adopt other solutions to meet their business needs. <\/p>\n\n
When an ISP reaches that point, we know it ends up buying equipment from manufacturers like Huawei, Juniper, Cisco, and the like. I once read something along those lines \u201cHuawei is the new bacon of Brazilian Internet service providers.\u201d (Author unknown)<\/em> in Brazil Peering Forum<\/em>, but we know that these devices do not have a “graphical interface” and are managed entirely via the CLI, which ends up being one of the major obstacles preventing small, medium, and even large companies from replacing their routers, since having to manage the equipment via CLI entails a series of other issues, such as staff training and development, changes to internal processes to make them compatible with the capabilities and information provided by the router, etc.\u2014factors that are sometimes not taken into account by ISPs and service providers.<\/p>\n\n Thus, Made4Graph was born.
